Fanfare Magazine Want List 2017
Simone Lamsma’s disc of Concertos by Shostakovich and Gubaidulina with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic under James Gaffigan and Reinbert de Leeuw, has been included in 2017’s Want List by Robert Maxham of Fanfare Magazine.

Notable recent highlights include her debut with the Chicago Symphony, described by the Chicago Tribune as “piercingly beautiful”. Enescu Festival debut
Simone looks forward to another season of debuts and returns to wonderful orchestras and venues around the world.
Her first performance of the season marks her debut during Romania’s prestigious Enescu Festival, where she will perform Saint-Saëns 3rd Violin Concerto with Les Siècles under Maestro François-Xavier Roth on 19 September 2017, at the stunning Athenaeum in Bucharest.

Simone Lamsma wowed audiences in her Bravo! Vail debut with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.
Summer 2017 Festival appearances
Coming months Simone will be performing during various summer festivals in Europe and the US, starting with her debut at the prestigious Bravo! Vail Music Festival on 30 June with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Jaap van Zweden.

World première at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam
On Saturday 8 April 2017 Simone Lamsma will give the world première of a new violin concerto ‘And the Centuries Surround Me with Fire’ by Matijs de Roo, commissioned by the ‘ZaterdagMatinee’, and written for Simone Lamsma.

New York debut including world première at Carnegie’s Weill Hall

On 30 March 2017 Simone Lamsma will give her New York recital debut at Carnegie’s Weill Hall with pianist Robert Kulek. Their programme will consist of works by Prokofiev and Strauss, as well as the world première of a new sonata by James MacMillan (commissioned by Carnegie Hall).

In March 2017 Simone Lamsma will make her official recital debuts at Wigmore Hall (12 March) and Carnegie Weill Hall (30 March) with pianist Robert Kulek.
National Symphony Orchestra Washington debut
On 2, 3, and 4 March, Simone Lamsma made her highly succesful debut with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington under Mark Wigglesworth performing Shostakovich Violin Concerto no.1.

Japan tour
February 2017 marks Simone Lamsma’s Japanese debut.
On 4 and 5 February she will perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra under Silvain Cambreling, and on 8 and 10 February she will perform in recital with pianist Yurie Miura.
