South America tour
During the past month, Simone toured South America with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under Maestro Gustavo Gimeno and the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal under Maestro Kent Nagano.
She performed multiple concerts to great acclaim at the Sala São Paulo, as well as at Teatro Solis in Montevideo, Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janerio, Centro de las Artes in Santiago, culminating at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.
Simone Lamsma opens Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra 19/20 season
On 13 and 14 September 2019 Simone enthused audiences in Amsterdam and Dortmund performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Elim Chan, during the orchestra’s Opening Night gala at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and at the season opening of Konzerthaus Dortmund, stepping in for Janine Jansen on short notice.
The concert on 13 September was broadcast live on Mezzo tv and Netherlands Radio 4, available now to relisten here.
Simone Lamsma receives honour from the Royal Academy of Music
Simone has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in London, an honour limited to 300 former Academy students, and awarded to those musicians who have distinguished themselves within the profession.

Last month marked an extensive tour through Australia, where Simone made her debut with the Sydney Symphony and Adelaide Symphony, and returned to the Tasmanian Symphony, as well as performed a solo recital at Recitals Australia.

New York Philharmonic debut
This month marks Simone Lamsma’s debut with the New York Philharmonic, performing with Maestro Jaap van Zweden, with whom she enjoys a close collaboration.
After succesful performances together of Britten’s Violin Concerto with the Chicago Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Phlharmonic among others, they will re-unite to perform this work in New York.
Concerts take place at the David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center on 28, 29 November and 4 December.

RadiRo Festival with MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig and Robert Trevino
After their successful collaboration together at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Simone Lamsma will return to the MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig and Robert Trevino on tour in Bucharest, where they will perform Bruch’s First Violin Concerto during the prestigious RadiRo Festival on 19 November 2018.

Simone Lamsma to perform during His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima’s state visit to Luxembourg.
Simone Lamsma has been invited to join His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima on their state visit to Luxembourg from 23-25 May 2018.
In return for the hospitality of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and Duchess of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg she will give a concert at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg, together with members of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
