On Saturday 8 April 2017 Simone Lamsma will give the world première of a new violin concerto ‘And the Centuries Surround Me with Fire’ by Matijs de Roo, commissioned by the ‘ZaterdagMatinee’, and written for Simone Lamsma.
The premiére will take place at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic under Alexander Vedernikov. During the same concert Simone will also perform Prokofiev’s lyrical 1st Violin Concerto.
